Thank you for your interest in joining South Bucks District Council at such a key time in our development.
We are making rapid progress across all services initially energised with our move in October 2004 to brand new offices which reinforced a culture of change and innovation and has helped us to raise performance across the board. We have a clear strategy to maintain and improve the quality of life in South Bucks and this is expressed in a series of aims which translate into specific plans and targets for every service we provide, either ourselves or increasingly in partnership with other agencies like the police or parish councils. We hope you will read those plans and get a flavour of the issues which matter most to the people of South Bucks.
Priorities and Performance
We are of course a relatively small council and whilst this always brings its own pressures around limited resources, it has not meant a lack of ambition or an acceptance of status quo. Elected councillors work as a team with officers and that teamwork has ensured that our commitment to continuous improvement means a lot more than just words.
Our size also means that every individual and every job is valued and supported because every individual's contribution is vital. Each role within the Council is important to achieve our goals and objectives and you will find that we are committed to providing as many job, personal and career development opportunities for all staff as we can.
