Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations
The directive was introduced to allow people to apply to re-use information held by public sector organisations. This means that the information could be used for a purpose other than the purpose for which the document was originally produced.
The Open Data initiative allows free access to non-personal information data sets that local councils hold. This will enable
- increased transparency and accountability
- re-use of the data under the Open Government Licence
- use the data to create new useful applications
*If you re-use the Council's data you should acknowledge the Council as the source and provide a link to the licence. You must not re-use the data in a manner that suggests the Council endorse you or your use of the data or that you have some sort of official status.
