Business Rates
  • business Rate relief for charities, non-profit making organisations, some sports clubs and certain properties located in designated rural settlements

  • business Rate relief for small businesses whose rateable value is below £15,000

  • a local discretionary relief scheme for businesses who suffered large increases in rates following the 2017 revaluation

Licensing

Advice on and issuing of licenses relating to:

Planning and Economic Development
  • prepare, review and implement a Chiltern and South Bucks Economic Development Strategy

  • work with other key partners such as Bucks Business First, Bucks Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership and local business and town centre organisations such as Chamber of Commerce to promote the local economy, provide business support and to assist growth

  • prepare, review and keep up to date the Development Plan and other planning policy documents to positively plan for business needs within the plan period

  • advice on planning polices and planning permission
