Communications Team

The communications team advises on communications issues including media relations, internal communications, public relations and campaigns, consultation, corporate identity, public information and engagement.

The communications team often organises and attends events in the district throughout each year.

We help support the work of the Council corporately and that of individual services, working with senior and middle management as well as the Council Leader and Cabinet Members. 

Press enquiries

We want to provide an information resource to journalists and other media representatives around the clock.

If you are a journalist, please do not contact council departments. Come to us first; we will always do our best to help you quickly.

Handling press enquiries centrally with trained, experienced media relations staff ensures a rapid, coherent response from the organisation.

We will be pleased to assist you with statements, news releases, information or further information sources. We will also do our best to make sure that an appropriate spokesperson is made available for broadcast news media.
