Report a missed bin collection

Sometimes the collection crews cannot gain entry to a road and this may effect the collection of your bins. A bin is considered 'missed' if it has not been collected by 5pm on your collection day. Missed collections must be reported to us within 24 hours of your collection day, so that we can rectify the problem as soon as possible.

If your entire road has been missed, please leave it until the following day before reporting the miss and leave your bins presented for collection.  If our crews have been unable to gain access to a road, they will try again the following day.

Please make sure your bins contain the correct items, the lids are closed and there is no extra waste presented. Failure to do any of these will result in no collection. Any extra waste can be taken to your local local Household Recycling Centre

Please make sure that you have followed our guidance regarding rubbish and recycling collection, including:

  • the bins or bags were placed out on the correct collection day (please check schedule changes for Bank Holidays)

  • the bins or bags were at your property boundary by 7am on the day of collection

  • bags were not split or so heavy that lifting could cause a split

Missed collections must be reported within 24 hours otherwise they will be collected when they are next due.
