Local Plan, Sustainability Appraisal and Community Infrastructure Levy consultations now open
The Chiltern and South Bucks Local Plan 2036, Community Infrastructure Levy and Sustainability Assessment Consultations are being extended to 23 August 2019.
This is to ensure that residents and organisations who wish to respond, know where to inspect the proposed submission documents, know how to make representations and have had sufficient time to respond.
If you have already submitted your representations, please do not resubmit them - they will already be included.
The consultation is to assist the independent planning inspector, on behalf of the Secretary of State, in determining whether or not the Local Plan is sound.
The consultation is open until 23 August 2019.
Residents can comment on the Local Plan and its accompanying Sustainability Appraisal and also the draft Community Infrastructure Levy.
Cllr Peter Martin, CDC Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development, said: "This is an important stage in the plan which offers another opportunity for local residents to have their say. All representations will be submitted with the Local Plan to an independent planning inspector and the Secretary of State.
"In order to ensure all residents can use the consultation portal with ease, we are offering drop-in sessions where council officers will help residents with submitting their representations."

I look forward to further feedback during the public consultation, to ensure this is the best Local Plan for our communities."
The Local Plan must provide for 15,260 new homes over the next 20 years. The focus of the plan is on built up areas, on previously developed land, and on exporting nearly 6,000 of the required new homes to the Aylesbury Vale District.
The Chiltern and South Bucks Local plan 2036 meets the housing requirements through:
- a third of homes either built since 2016 or from available brown field land
- a third of homes from land which least meet the purposes of the Green Belt; and
- a third of homes through the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan.
Green Belt releases would take place only where sustainable building can be achieved without unacceptably harming the purposes or integrity of the Green Belt.
The Councils have been working on the draft local plan since 2015 and there have been two public consultations to date; the initial (regulation 18) Consultation Incorporating Issues and Options took place at the start of 2016 and the Green Belt Preferred Options Consultation took place at the end of 2016.
